Each month, a new heroine arrives in the mailbox.
In the tradition of classic paper dolls and reimagined as contemporary collectible art, Monthly Heroine combines original drawing, hand-painted papers, storytelling, and imaginative play.
Along with a paper doll, you receive an accompanying newsletter introducing her story and the theme of the month.

About the artist
Monthly Heroine is made by hand by New Orleans mixed media artist Maggie Callan. Maggie paints, draws, or designs everything in each mailing.
She studied Art History and Fine Art in college and has worked in ink drawing, mixed media collage, embroidery, and figurative painting. After her daughter was born in 2020, she left her 15-year marketing career to focus on her daughter and follow her passion for art. She currently creates mixed media abstract and figurative pieces using acrylic paint, colored pencils, oil pastels, collaged papers, and vintage frames. Her artwork draws on early modernist art, mid-century design, and vintage style.
